Blogger’s Confessions With Pooja From Lifesfinewhine

Hey everyone it’s Zainab welcome or welcome back to the blog! I feel like it’s been a long time since I’ve done a Blogger’s Confessions post! Today, I’ll be interviewing Pooja from Lifesfinewhine! We talk all about blogging and growth! Let’s jump into it!

1) Thanks for agreeing to be interviewed Pooja! Let’s start with talking about your blog growth. Now, you are probably one of the most popular bloggers I’ve ever seen with over 18K followers! How long have you been blogging and what would advice would you want to give to new bloggers who grow like you?
Thanks so much for having me on your blog! I have been blogging since 2015 and I think the advice I would give to other bloggers is to be patient. Statistically the majority of people who create a blog stop blogging in the first couple of months and I think the reason for this is that people expect their blogs to grow instantly. There’s nothing wrong with that of course- I was like that when I started out too. However, it rarely works like that. It takes a while to grow your blog so remain patient, put out good content and don’t give up.

2) You’ve obviously been blogging for a very long time, have you ever faced adversity / hate in the blogging world, and how did you overcome it?
Yes, I have faced quite a lot of hate especially in the last two years as my blog grew quite quickly. As you get followers you’ll also get haters it’s quite normal on the Internet. At first I was devastated but I think the best way to deal with hate or negativity is to understand that it has more to do with the person sending the hate than it does with you. Ignore it and keep doing you.

3) Usually, people who grow as big as a following as you have like to expand and start something like a Youtube channel, have you ever thought of doing this or would be open to creating one in the future?
I have definitely thought about branching out more and doing things like YouTube in the future. As a fourth year university student I don’t have a lot of time to do other stuff but once I am done with my degree I definitely want to try other platforms too.

4) As you’re quite big you will probably have brands approaching you, what advice would you give to bloggers looking to land things like sponsored posts, etc!
I think the main advice I would give is to not wait till people reach out to you but rather to reach out to brands/companies/etc and let them know you would love to work with them. Although you will get a lot of rejections you may end up also working with some really great brands and a lot of times you get rejected however they keep you in mind for when they start a campaign or your platform grows and work with you in the future.

Thanks so much to Pooja for coming on the blog, check out her blog here! Also, I will be doing another assumptions post too and you can send in anonymous assumptions here – assume anything as it’s anonymous!

This was a really great interview filled with lots of useful advice for new time bloggers so thank you! I’m definitely taking all of this onboard. Patience is an essential part of blogging and haters, although inevitable, should neer get you down.
