WandaVision Series Review

Hey guys it’s Zainab here, welcome or welcome back to Zainab Chats! So, I feel like whether you’re a Marvel fan or not, most people are familiar with the new Marvel show, WandaVision. The final episode came out last month and I wanted to give you guys some time to catch up to it. Today, I’ll be reviewing it, but warning, spoilers ahead!

Official Reviews:
WandaVision received 8.1/10 on iMDB as well as as 91% on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer. Also, 93% of Google Users liked the show giving it an average rating of 4.4 Stars!

My Opinion:
The first couple of episodes of WandaVision were a black and white sitcom which honestly I was a bit confused about at first because if you know Marvel, then you’ll know this is far from regular Marvel genres. Honestly, I was doubting the show originally because of this… until Episode 4 hit.

Episode 4 was when the show became a proper Marvel show. It was explaining every single weird thing that happened in the original episodes, included some previous Marvel Characters such as Darcy Lewis, Monica Rambeau (she gets her powers in the show) and Jimmy Woo and they realised that Wanda is controlling her own sitcom.

People who were huge comic book fans already had theories on who the main antagonist of the whole show was (and they were right). Everyone guessed it- Agnes was Agatha Harkness, an evil witch! The one thing I loved about Agatha was when she was revealed as the main villain, she sang this hilarious song called, ‘Agatha All Along’ which is honestly still stuck in my head!

I will have to say though, my favourite episode of the entire show was definitely the season finale! It was a witch fight with Agatha vs Wanda and White Corpse Vision vs Wanda’s Vision! The end fight was definitely interesting, there were a lot of Marvel flashbacks, a lot of magic used, but of course, Wanda put an end to Agatha’s plan and turned her back into the nosy neigbour which was also so funny!

The show ended with two post credit scenes. The first was a scrawl (from Captain Marvel) coming to see Monica Rambeau saying someone was looking for her, and the second was Wanda using the Darkhold book – which is definitely linking to the upcoming Doctor Strange 2!

All in all, I loved this show! Even though I was confused at the start, I love how they were able to keep their Marvel flair or interconnecting movies and still add their sitcom comedy!

Living idealised suburban lives, super-powered beings Wanda and Vision begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

I love WandaVision and I love this review of yours! The first episodes of WandaVision got me confused too but later on everything became clearer. Some aspects of the series made me emotional, especially the events related to Wanda’s grief and her harsh experiences. It was a really great series! I can’t wait to see Doctor strange and the other movies that will be tied to it!

WandaVision is one of my favourites in the MCU! Honestly, it started out as a one-star show (I was SO confused in the beginning!) but worked it’s way up to a well-deserving five stars! This review was simply perfect! Great job!

PS. I cannot wait for the next Doctor Strange!
