Hello everyone it’s Zainab, welcome or welcome back to the blog! A month ago, I did a blog post called: Teenage Girl Show Recommendations and I’m going to be doing a similar post today, but for TV Shows (thank you to The Wheelchair Teen for this post idea!) Let’s get into this post!

Never Have I Ever
Never Have I Ever is probably one of the most relatable shows for teenage girls on Netflix right now! It focuses on an Indian girl called Devi and her friends trying to fit in at an American high school. The show draws in so many relatable themes for any teenager such as : Popularity, Friendship, Relationships and more! Whatever your situation, trust me, you’ll relate to this show in some way, shape or form! Season 2 actually came out yesterday on Netflix so you should definitely check it out!
Any Sitcom
I’m such a big fan of so many sitcoms – they’re such great comfort shows that ,not just teenage girls, but anybody can enjoy! My favourites are:
- Friends
- Modern Family
- How I Met Your Mother
- The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
Cobra Kai
Cobra Kai is a show that wouldn’t stereo typically be for teenage girls but it’s honestly so interesting! It’s a spin-off of the movie: Karate Kid set 30 years later focusing on the Karate Kid’s antagonist: Johnny Lawrence and giving him a whole new perspective which is what I love about it! The show focuses on martial arts, comedy and drama!
Once Upon A Time
Once Upon A Time is a show I was quite unsure about to start with because I’m not really a fan of the stereotypical ‘prince saves princess and fall in love’ stereotype in fairy tales but this show does such a great job at breaking down these typical plot lines! The main character Emma Swan gets a knock on her door from her son who she gave up 10 years ago saying her fairy tale family needed help. Another thing I love about it is that it’s your typical fairy tale characters living in the modern word which has never been done before – the plot is honestly amazing so you guys should definitely check it out!
Any Marvel Series
You guys knew I couldn’t do series recommendation post without mentioning the new Marvel series’s! There are so many different shows (many more to come) with different genres – you don’t necessarily have to know the Marvel timeline to understand them but it definitely helps! I’ll share a few of them which are out now and their genres:
- Wandavision (Sitcom, Drama, Romance, Sci-Fi)
- The Falcon And The Winter Solider (Action Adventure, Super Hero, Sci-Fi)
- Loki ( Action Adventure, Fantasy, Sci-Fi)
Thanks so much for reading this post, be sure to share your favourite shows in the comments and let me know what you’d like to see next!

Being well into my twenties, I definitely can’t call myself a teen anymore, but I’ve literally watched all of these shows haha I’m currently in the midst of Season 2 of Never Have I Ever. I know it’s not all about the boys, but did you pick a side after S1? Team Ben or Team Paxton?

I actually have to stop writing teen girl in my titles because I’m so lucky to have so many other people reading my blog now! 😂 Hmm after season 1 my mind kept changing but I’m 100% team Paxton! I actually just finished the final episode yesterday!
