Why Engaging With Other Blog’s Is Beneficial To Yours

Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to the blog! So, today’s post is going to be another blogging advice post and I’ll be sharing why Engagement works both ways in the blogging world and how it can benefit you!

What Happens When You Don’t Engage With Other Blogs?

So, for a brief period (quite recently, actually) I was still posting regularly but I got little to no engagement on my posts. I was trying to work out why, but then I realised. I was just scheduling posts on the weekend and just let them come out during the week – it was like a robotic system. I didn’t even take 5 minutes out of my time to look at WP Reader every now again, and that’s how my engagement got so low.

I’m not saying numbers are everything, but when you publish a post you want people to enjoy it and chat to you in your comments, that won’t happen unless you chat in their comments. Obviously you can’t engage 24/7 but even just 5 minutes every day is beneficial because remember engagement works both ways!

The Benefits Of Engaging With Other Blogs

Of course, there are so many benefits to engaging with other blogs – here are just a few!

  • You Will Get Inspiration For Your Own Posts (Just make sure you credit the original writer)
  • You Will Be Able To Share Your Own Posts With Other People
  • You Can Meet A Whole New Community Of People!

Thank you so much for reading this post (or should I say engaging, haha!) Let me know some of your favourite blogging tips in the comments!

This is so true! When I first started blogging regularly a few years ago, I was probably kind of addicted to commenting and gained hundreds of following in just a few months. It was fun to interact with so many people, but it can also be a little exhausting. Still a great way to get notice and make some new friends, though!
