Hi there everyone, Zainab here, welcome or welcome back to my blog! So, it’s the day before Valentine’s Day so I thought it would be fitting to do a post about love today. But about loving yourself. Because I feel like in all the craziness of the world, people can forget (especially since Valentine’s is on a Monday this year.) So I’ll be sharing 3 simple ways to practice self love!
Just before we get into this, a quick note, self love means so many things to different people – so these are ideas that work for me. But feel free to do whatever you want!

Treat Yourself To Whatever Makes You Happy
I feel like I always talk about really easy ways to increase positivity. But sometimes, we just need a little treat to let yourself know you’re great and loved. So, if you don’t have a valentine – treating yourself is just as meaningful. Give yourself a treat to let yourself know you’re doing great (for me it would be chocolate!)
Surround Yourself With The People Who Make You Feel Happy
I think this is so key to self love. Because it’s not necessarily something you’re making yourself do to love yourself – it’s just natural to feel better with those who make you happy. Even if you don’t do an activity, being in their presence it’s a great start to loving yourself!
Write Yourself A Valentine
This is my favourite one so I saved it as the last one. It’s a little bit similar to the first one – but instead of treating yourself, you write to yourself!
- Essentially, draw a heart and write your name at the top.
- Then, write everything you love about yourself but in second person writing.
- For example, instead of putting ‘I love my confidence’ – you put ‘I love your confidence.’
It’s a quick thing to do to make us feel better. I know it may seem a bit weird, but it’s honestly just nice to acknowledge the things you love about yourself in a world with a lot of negativity!
Thank you so much for reading this post, I had a lot of fun coming up with these ideas. I really hope they were even slightly helpful. Let me know how you practice self love in the comments!

Have an amazing day!

Treating myself with lots of baked sweets and surrounding myself with the people enjoy the most are most definitely my favorite ways of being happier with myself. It’s not necessary. But it helps. Thanks for sharing 😀
