Hey everyone, it’s Zainab, welcome or welcome back! Last week, I went to watch Marvel’s latest movie, Dr Strange in The Multiverse of Madness. The movie definitely was interesting so I’ll be reviewing it today, don’t worry, there will be no spoilers from the movie, I’ll be talking about the movie in general but nothing that wasn’t revealed in the trailers!

Official Reviews
Dr Strange 2 received a 7.5/10 review from IMDb along with 75% from Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer. Audiences gave an average of 3.7/5 Stars on the Google Audience Rating Summary, and overall 86% of Google Users liked the film.
My Opinion
Dr Strange in The Multiverse of Madness is Marvel’s latest project leading straight off of their last movie: Spiderman No Way Home as well as the series Wandavision. As all Marvel movies do, this movie was no different to immaculately connecting the different projects all together and it did a great job at interlinking many character’s storylines.
Continuing on from the opening of the multiverse in SpiderMan No Way Home, this movie is a wild adventure through the endless possibilities of new universes exploring different realities, variants, consequences and more. The concept of the different universes can be very confusing and there’s still lots to be discovered and developed with a lot left unknown even by the end of this movie, but it was a great starting point to explore different realities in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Since the multiverse had already been confirmed from the beginning, surprises were expected left, right and centre in this movie. However, Marvel already revealed a lot in trailers and promotional footage for this movie, so I’d definitely say expect a dramatic adventure involving Dr Strange, Wanda and new character America Chavez as a core plot point in the movie. Unfortunately we did not get every cameo you could think of, but it was still an enjoyable movie, I just think a lot of surprises were ruined from trailers and I probably would’ve enjoyed it more if less was revealed in the promotion for the movie.
This movie was directed by Sam Raimi who is known for his horror projects so it’s obvious that this movie would be a lot more graphic compared to the 1st – and that was correct! There was a substantial amount of blood and gory images in this movie, so this definitely isn’t for young children, the target audience is definitely older than children watching SpiderMan No Way Home – so just keep that in mind if you’re watching this with kids.
Physical violence and horror was expected but this movie actually tapped into emotional horror which was definitely unexpected. Dr Strange, America Chavez and Wanda especially all faced horrifyingly emotional situations in one way or another in this movie. Although they were dramatised and made more fantastical for the sake of a Marvel movie, I’m sure there are parts that viewers could relate to, I’ve read reviews and opinions of this movie where people could understand the characters which was really moving to read and to watch the movie.
This movie opened up a new chapter for the Marvel Universe which was really enjoyable to watch. I thought the acting, cinematography and writing was really well thought out. I definitely agree with the reviews, I think I would’ve given it more praise if the movie had more surprises and the trailers didn’t raise expectations too high. Regardless, I’d definitely recommend this movie to anyone whose looking for a mix of Horror and some Sci Fi/Fantasy!
Synopsis
Dr Stephen Strange casts a forbidden spell that opens a portal to the multiverse. However, a threat emerges that may be too big for his team to handle.

Thanks for the review! I saw No Way Home this summer and I really want to watch this one. I haven’t seen the trailers yet, so I might just go in blind lol. It bugs me when they reveal too much in trailers too.
