How You Can Keep Positive About Going Back To School

Hello everyone it’s Zainab here, welcome or welcome back to my blog! As said in my previous blog post, I’m going to try and do more back to school related posts. I’ll still be keeping with the theme of positivity, so I’ll be sharing how you can keep positive about going back to school!

Remembering You’ll See Your Friends More Often

This is honestly one of the main reasons why I enjoy school. Obviously, in your summer break you will see your friends more freely without school rules and different classes. But in school, you will see each other every day no matter your class so seeing them during school is much more often then in summer as it’s 6 hours for over half the week!

You’re Learning Things That Could Probably Be Useful In The Future

I do understand that this only applies for some subjects. But, if you take a humanitarian subject especially, you’re learning things that can actually benefit you in the future. For example, in Citizenship (similar to politics) we learn about voting, the law etc! And these will actually be able to help you be better citizens when you’re older!

You Will Learn More About Your Future

As you progress through school, you start getting more information about your future (careers, universities etc!) Honestly, I’m someone that loves planning my future as I already know my future career, so when I get information about my future career, I tend to take in as much information as possible. So, if you’re set on your career, you should listen about your future as much as possible!

So guys, I hope this post helped with back to school. The summer has gone super fast so honestly I needed to write this post! Let me know if you’ve gone back to school yet and how you’ve been!

Why You Should Be Positive When Going Back To School

Hello everyone, welcome or welcome back to the blog! Today, I want to share with you some reasons on why you should be positive when going back to school!

You’re Seeing Friends Again
I think the reason most people are happy about going to school is seeing friends again. Some people have not seen them for a long time so most people will be in an extremely positive mindset to see their friends after a long time!

You’re Going To Start Learning Again
Okay so I know some people don’t necessarily like school but if you are very curious and love to learn then you will definitely feel more positive knowing that you get to learn new things now!

You Can Actually Leave Your House Properly Again
Okay this was probably my reason for full on positivity but, you actually can leave your home! You finally have somewhere to go other then your garden so take advantage of that and actually enjoy and make the most of school!

I hope you guys are feeling a bit more positive about going back to school!

The Best Way To Get Organised For Back To School

Hey everyone it’s Zainab! Welcome back to the blog! Today, I’ll share with you guys my favourite and the best way to get organised when you go back to school!

The Note Method:
The note method is the way I organise everything when I go back to school, essentially you need some sticky notes either 4 different colours (or you can colour co-ordinate them) and plain sticky note!

You’re going to want to write a colour key on your plain sticky note on what each colour note will represent. For example, in my colour key: pink represents homework and purple represents exams I need to study for! I also have green representing the notes I need to make and yellow just any other notes!

Pin Board:
Once you have made all your notes you’re then going to want to add your key onto a pin board, and it’s that simple! Now, every time you have a piece of homework, you can easily write it down on your coloured note and pin it onto your board!

Why This Is A Good Method:
If you’re wondering why this is such a good method, having all your sticky notes on a huge board up on your desk will help you do your homework faster as every time you go to your desk you will see you will need to do it, therefore you will be held accountable by the board until you do it!

Thank you guys for reading, I hope you enjoyed it and it helped you guys find a new organisation for school!

My Positive Experience Of Year 7 and 8 In Secondary School

Hey everyone, it’s Zainab, welcome or welcome back to the blog! Today, I’ll be sharing with you guys my experience of my first two years in secondary school as from September I’m starting my 3rd year. Let’s get started!

Context
For anybody whose not in the UK, essentially you start Secondary School when you’re 11 years old, which is called Year 7 (your first year). Then, when you go into Year 9 (the third year) you start your GCSE courses up until Year 11 which is when you take the exams!

Now, let’s talk about my experiences!

Year 7
So, in Year 7, I was kind of adjusting to my new school life, when you’re in new surroundings and there’s new people it’s a little bit hard at first. However, after my first week I was completely fine with everyone supporting me! I will say, to anybody starting secondary school, Year 7 is quite easy and you honestly don’t get too much homework!

Year 8
Once you get into Year 8, the teachers do raise the bar a little bit. You definitely will get more homework and you will gain more independence in the school as you’re no longer a first year. One of my favourite experiences of Year 8, was definitely my options process! Having the freedom of picking the subjects I want to take was definitely nice, if you need tips for choosing exam subjects, click here.

Now that I’ve shared a little bit of my experiences I’ll share with you my goals for Year 9 which I’m starting in September.

Goals For Year 9

  • Create Daily / Weekly notes on what I learn in lessons
  • Get all my Homework done earliest as possible
  • Join more extracurricular activities

These are my main goals for Year 9 but because I’m transitioning from lower school to upper school I don’t know how many I’m going to complete but maybe I’ll do another post in a year explaining my Year 9 Experience!

Thanks for reading this guys, I hope you enjoyed it and it helps for when you start Secondary School!
